Coleus Forskohlii Side Effects

Coleus forskohlii has been used in Ayurveda for many years. It's a great fat burner and herbal remedy for obesity. Coleus forskohlii in supplement form may have some side effects and interactions that you should know about.

Some reported side effects include:
  • Headaches
  • Irregular heart rate
  • Low blood pressure
If you experience any of these side effects and they become bothersome, you should discontinue use of this supplement.

If you are pregnant or nursing, you should not take coleus forskohlii. Those who are diabetic should be cautious. Ask your doctor before you decide to supplement with coleus forskohlii.

If you have a bleeding disorder, you should note that coleus forskohlii can increase bleeding. If you are taking a blood thinner, you should be careful about mixing the two together. This could cause excessive bleeding if you have an accident. Also, you should not take coleus forskohlii around the time of surgery because of this reason.

If you have a heart disease or condition, be careful when taking coleus forskohlii because it can lower blood pressure. This may cause issues with those who have any heart problems.

Note that if you have an ulcer, coleus might aggravate it. If you have kidney disease or liver disease, ask your doctor if it's okay to use a coleus forskohlii supplement.
