Coconut Oil Side Effects

There is mixed information out there about coconut oil. Coconut oil is really good for you. If you aren't sure, read this article about a doctor who uses coconut oil to get his patients to come out of comas. It only takes him 30 minutes to 12 hours usually.

There are claims that coconut oil actually causes weight gain. That's a lie. The saturated fat in coconut oil is actually MCTs, which we don't get enough of in our diet. The Islanders of Trobriand almost only eat coconut and coconut oil. A whopping 80% of their calories come from coconuts. There are low levels of heart disease, stroke, and obesity.

Most people who use recommended doses of coconut oil will not see any side effects. You have to work your way up. If you start off using too much coconut oil, you may experience:
  • upset stomach
  • nausea
  • vomiting
Start out small and then increase if you feel like you need to. Coconut oil is safe to use if you are pregnant and nursing as long as you don't use too much as I have explained.
