If you have a gall stone, dandelion may cause issues with your condition because it increases the flow of bile. You may want to stay away from this herb or consult a professional before you decide to take a dandelion supplement.

Dandelion may cause a little bit of upset stomach in some individuals. This is not very common. Some people reported having a sore mouth after having contact with dandelion root. This is also not very common.

If you are pregnant or nursing, you should not take dandelion because there have not been enough studies on pregnancy and dandelion.

If you have a ragweed allergy, you may have a reaction to dandelion. Also, if you have an allergy to plants related to ragweed such as daisies and marigolds, you may have an allergic reaction. You should not take a dandelion supplement.
