There have been rare cases of people who have started out taking strong doses of cayenne and went their body went into shock. Make sure that you are careful with this herb and start out small. You should start out with 30,000 SHU of cayenne pepper and move up when only if you need to.
There have been reports of people being allergic to cayenne. You won't know if you are allergic without taking the herb, but there are indications that certain people may be more prone to a cayenne allergy. People who are allergic to the following things may be allergic to cayenne:
- Kiwi
- Avocado
- Chestnuts
- Latex
- Bananas
