Coconut oil is oil taken from the meat of coconuts. It helps people lose weight, as long as you consume the kind that is virgin coconut oil. Here is how:

Coconut oil contains medium chain fatty acids. These fatty acids have a lot of benefits for the body. The lauric acid contained in coconut oil is the main benefit-providing fatty acid. Some people think coconut oil isn't good for you because it has saturated fat.

Coconut oil does have saturated fat, but it's medium chain saturated fatty acids which actually help you to burn fat on your body. They are treated differently in the body than saturated fat.   1. It's good to know coconut oil is effective in losing weight. I would want to try this some time. Herbal products for losing weight are much safer than chemical-based ones.
