25 Ways to Cut 500 Calories a Day

25 Ways to Cut 500 Calories a Day

This article shows you some creative ways to cut out calories. You know that when you burn more calories in a day than what you eat, the end result is weight loss. A goal of having a deficit of 500 calories per day will help you lose 1 lb a week. It's not as hard as some people may think. You don't have to starve. You will still feel very satisfied with the amount of food that you eat. Adding more fiber can also help keep you from being hungry.

I do disagree that you should cut out nuts altogether. True that they are high in calories, but they are also high in good fats and protein. If you eat them, just be extra sure to count out how many you are eating instead of just mindless snacking. Make it a point to count your calories every day so that you know how much you are allowed to eat.

It's definitely a great idea to eat your meals in a smaller plate and go for a light walk after dinner. Walking is by far the best way to burn pure fat. Also, pacing back and forth while on the phone can help you get some extra walking in your day and you will be so busy talking that you won't realize you have been walking an hour.

I definitely agree with cutting out soda. It's addicting, but one can of soda is around 160 calories. If you drink just 3 of those per day, that's 480 calories that you just don't need. Instead of drinking away your calories, drink no calorie drinks and save those calories.

I would also recommend that you take a fiber supplement 30 minutes before every meal. This can help you get full faster and stay fuller longer. Always watch serving sizes. Count out the number of chips. Count the individual peanuts. Don't just snack from the box or bag. Also, watch it when you go out to eat. Those servings are way larger than what they should be. Save money and calories by cooking your favorite restaurant dishes at home.
