How To Grow Chamomile

Chamomile plants will grow to about nine inches high and spread out along the ground. The beautiful chamomile flowers used for making chamomile tea will show up from June to August. Chamomile's natural growing areas are North Africa and Europe.

Chamomile is great for getting rid of inflammation and helping insomniacs. It is a remedy for burns, allergies, toothaches, and indigestion.

You should plant chamomile seeds in a small container. When the plant is large enough, take it and replant outside. Water the plants often about once a day. Note that the chamomile plant will spread out across the ground, so plant the chamomile plants about six inches apart.

In June to August, you will see the chamomile flowers. You will want to harvest these in the morning before the sun comes up to ensure the most potency. Let the flowers dry out some in a cool and dry location. Use the flowers to make chamomile tea.
