Apple Cider Vinegar Side Effects

There are some side effects and warnings when using apple cider vinegar in large doses. You must be aware of these before adding this supplement to your daily routine. If you take 8 ounces of apple cider vinegar every day over an extended amount of time, it may lead to a potassium deficiency.

It is not likely that you will consume this much apple cider vinegar and it's also unlikely that you will take it for that long. One person reported taking 250 mL of apple cider vinegar every day for six years. He/She ended up with a potassium deficiency and weak bones.

Monitor your intake of apple cider vinegar and never exceed the daily recommended dose. If you are worried about having a potassium deficiency, take a multivitamin.

Those with diabetes need to be careful if they choose to take apple cider vinegar. It may lower your blood sugar.

If you are taking apple cider vinegar in liquid form, it may weaken your enamel over an extended period of time. This is because of the acid. If you are worried about this, use a mouth wash that protects enamel all day or take apple cider vinegar in tablet form.

To recap, apple cider vinegar is great when you take the correct amount.
