Soy Lecithin Side Effects

Soy lecithin may have some side effects that you should know about before adding a supplement to your current regimen. Yes, lecithin is in many of our foods, but when you take an added supplement, you are getting much more of it, so you may experience some side effects.

The side effects from soy mostly come from chemicals sprayed on the crops. This means you will definitely feel some discomfort if you get a hold of some contaminated soy lecithin supplements. Make sure you are buying from a company that is known for good quality. I choose Swanson Vitamins because I have never had a problem with quality or service when it comes to them.

Now on to the side effects you may experience from soy lecithin that does not meet standards:
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fainting
  • Dizziness
  • Low blood pressure
If you experience any of these, it is likely that the company that is selling you the soy lecithin is not up to standards. Don't purchase from them again. You will be much better off if you just find a good company to start with so that you won't deal with these side effects.

Many people tend to be allergic to soy lecithin. If you tend to be allergic to soy products, do not begin taking a soy lecithin supplement. If you experience any symptoms of allergy, discontinue use.
