You should be getting 8 ounces of water per day. You should take psyllium about 30 minutes before each meal with a full glass of water. Make sure you drink plenty of water, because the water will increase it's effectiveness. Once in the stomach, it will form a thick gel with the water you have consumed. You will feel a little full before you even eat your meal.
