Grapefruit Peel Reviews

I looked around briefly to see if I could find reviews from people who have added a grapefruit peel to their daily routine and had results to share. Well, I had a hard time finding them, but I did find this study done with 100 people.

These 100 people did not change their normal daily schedules. They didn't change diets or exercise. They went about their normal days. The only difference is they were given half a grapefruit (peel included) and grapefruit juice or a supplement before every meal.

These people lost on average 3 1/2 lbs after 12 weeks. The study can be found here. That's not an extreme amount of weight loss, but it's nice to lose weight without changing much! Just think if you could add another supplement and maybe walk 4 days a week what you could accomplish then.

So there is evidence that grapefruit peel does promote weight loss. It's sold as a weight loss supplement and it could help you in reaching your weight loss goals. You can find grapefruit capsules at most herbal supplement stores. If you want a recommendation, try swansonvitamins.com. I buy my supplements from them.

Grapefruit Peel Side Effects

Before taking any supplement, you should be aware of any side effects or warnings. Grapefruit peel does not have any known side effects. It seems to be fine unless you are allergic. If you begin to experience symptoms of an allergy which include water eyes, rashes, and trouble breathing, etc. please do not use grapefruit peel.

Also, if you take any prescription medications, you should consult your doctor before adding any supplement. Grapefruit peel could interact with your medicine.

There haven't been enough studies done on grapefruit peel for pregnant and nursing women. Be on the safe side and leave it out of your routine until you are finished nursing. There are no other known warnings about grapefruit peel. This does not mean you won't experience side effects. You never know how something will react with you until you begin taking it. Grapefruit peel is generally safe and does no harm to the body.

  • Reduces water weight
Grapefruit peel contains many nutrients that your body needs. It helps satisfy hunger. It helps get rid of that extra water weight you might be carrying around also. If you choose to actually eat the peel, there will be many more benefits and fiber also.
