Safflower Oil Side Effects

Safflower oil is a healthy essential fat for the body. It's good fat which will help you burn off bad fat stores. There may be some side effects and interactions of safflower oil that you should be aware of before taking it though.

If you have any of the following allergies, you may have a reaction to safflower:
  • Ragweed
  • Daisy
  • Chrysanthemums
  • Marigold
If you have any plant allergy, be cautious about taking a safflower oil supplement as you may possibly have a reaction to it. You can alternatively get your essential fatty acids from another source such as fish oil, flaxseed oil, and coconut oil.

If you are pregnant or nursing, stay on the safe side and do not consume safflower oil.

The following symptoms are said to be common with safflower:

  • Vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Chills
  • Loose stool
  • Minor aches
Some people may experience these side effects and some people may not. If you don't want to take the chance, there is always other ways to burn fat with other oil supplements like flaxseed oil, coconut oil, and fish oil. You could even use grape seed oil, which is very healthy for you too.
