FDA Approved Diet Pill

There is a new diet pill that is approved by the FDA. It's called Qnexa. They feel that the benefits of this diet pill out weight the side effects and risks. The importance of this news comes from the fact that it is the first pill that has been approved by the FDA in many years. It's newly developed, so the perception is that this pill will be "the best" out there.

My personal opinion is that diet pills give the illusion that you can take a pill and lose weight and be done with it. This isn't good because diet pills should accompany a good exercise program and healthy eating. I also happen to think that if anyone should use a "pill", they should go for natural herbs instead that are known for helping fight obesity. There are plenty of them and you can find them in their purest form.

For those who are morbidly obese, simply walking more each day and eating a set amount of calories would help them lose the initial weight. Adopting a healthy amount of calories is enough to help an obese person lose a few pounds each week. You don't have to starve or give up great foods that you love.

OxyElite Pro Review

OxyElite Pro is a diet pill that is said to be created by a Pharmacist. One bottle contains 90 capsules. It is supposed to give energy, boost metabolism, and suppress appetite.

The average weight loss with OxyElite Pro is 15.5 lbs per month. Not everyone is able to lose weight on this pill. Some people reported no weight loss. Not every pill works for everyone the same way. This diet pill does have some side effects that you should know about.

Reported Side Effects of OxyElite Pro:
  • mood swings
  • headaches
  • stomach aches
  • rapid heart rate
  • sweating
  • nausea

If you are caffeine sensitive, you should not take this product. It is very stimulating. Many people have complained about the side effects and for some people, the side effects were no problem. If you want to take a chance and see if it works for you, that's all up to you.

Some people did have to discontinue use of OxyElite Pro because of the negative side effects of the pill. There are a few tips for having less side effects. You should take the minimum dosage to start out with. When you up the dosage, don't take any of these pills after about 2 p.m. Exercise while on this pill every day. This will help you to not feel some of the side effects.

The ingredients are:
  • Bauhinia Purpea (a flowering plant from China)
  • Bacopa Monniera (herb from the marshes of Asia)
  • 1,3 Dimethylamine (constituent of flower oil)
  • Cirsium Oligoohylium (plant from Asia)
  • Rauwolscine (alkaloid found in Rauwolfia and Pausinystalia)
  • Modified Starch
  • Gelatin (capsule)
  • Vegetable Stearate
  • Silicon Dioxide
  • Titanium Dioxide
  • Red #3, Blue #1, Red #40

Some of these ingredients are natural. Note that this is NOT an all-natural weight loss pill. There are additives and some ingredients that are not natural. 1,3 Dimethylamine is a strong stimulant which is why anyone who takes this pill should start off with the lowest dose first.

There are other weight loss pills that are all natural that do not cause side effects.

***NOTE: Diet magic has now changed the formula and name of their product. It's now Symply Magic. The websites that are selling "diet magic" are not real diet magic. This statement came from the Symmetry company themselves.***

Lishou Slimming Capsules Review

Lishou Slimming Capsules make claims that you can lose up to 30 lbs in 1 month. It is said to be an extreme appetite suppressant and fat burner. Tuckahoe is the active ingredient in Lishou Slimming.

About Tuckahoe:
Tuckahoe grows naturally in China and it's also cultivated there. It is a type of edible fungus that grows underground. Tuckahoe is produced in the provinces of Sichuan, Hubei, and Yunnan. Tuckahoe is known as a diuretic. In other words, it gets rid of bloating and makes you urinate.

Bitter orange and lotus are also said to be in Lishou slimming capsules. Bitter orange is a great fat burner, but should be used with caution. See my post Bitter Orange Side Effects.

Unfortunately, tuckahoe, bitter orange, and lotus are the only ingredients that they will disclose. They claim to use an "herbal blend" for the fat burner, but they do not say what herbs are used.

The price range of these pills are anywhere from $7 on Amazon to $30 at specific websites.

Side Effects of Lishou Slimming Capsules are:
  • Sleeplessness
  • Dry mouth
  • Headaches
  • Dehydration
  • Jitters
  • Irregular heartbeat

Lishou Slimming Capsules are said to reduce the appetite within the first day you begin taking them. They also speed up the metabolism so that you can burn fat. You are eating less and burning fat, so the result is weight loss. It seems as though many people have been losing weight on this product.

Those who are pregnant, have heart problems, or apoplexia are advised not to use these pills.

There are said to be counterfeit products, so be careful if you decide to buy these. As with any Asian weight loss pill, this is expected. The same thing happened with Fruta Planta.

Conclusion: The company is secretive, especially about the products. Some people will ignore this and buy anyway. Just remember that pills like this have been known to put people in the hospital before, so you are proceeding at your own risk. As of right now, there is no ban by the FDA on Lishou Slimming Capsules, but there probably will be soon. If you want real herbal weight loss, just use herbs that are known for weight loss like milk thistle, green tea, and acai berry.

For the record, I do not encourage the use of Lishou Slimming Capsules. You are old enough to read the information and make an informed decision on your own.
